A single-story home in Kamakura characterized by high ceilings and an open atmosphere. Aiming for an “Asian Modern” aesthetic worthy of this expansive space, we furnished the home with furniture and custom joinery that harmonize the substantial presence of the materials with artisan craftsmanship.

The centerpiece of the dining area is a 1,250 mm round table. Despite its clean profile achieved by eliminating the apron, it strikes a perfect balance between high strength and structural beauty through cross-shaped board legs joined with exposed tenons and split wedges. Cherishing the tactile connection the moment one enters the home, we also crafted a custom entrance door handle in a superellipse shape, detailed with hand-planed textures. Its comfortable grip and inviting feel warmly welcome everyday life.
