MIO is defined by a quiet, composed presence that settles naturally into everyday living environments.
Inspired by the landscape of Akishima—where abundant underground water flows—the series takes its name from Mio, a word that refers to a watercourse or channel.

The softly textured surface invites touch, while the gentle, organic form echoes shapes found in nature, creating a subtle harmony between material, form, and daily life.

“What does furniture look like when it neither disrupts daily life nor loses its dignified presence within a space?
With this question in mind, we aimed to minimize the overall volume of the product as much as possible, pursuing a design that feels soft, light, and unobtrusive.”
